72-Hour
Research Hackathon
Redefining how students
experience research.
Research is often seen as a slow, traditional process reserved for experts. The Research Hackathon challenges that perception by showing that meaningful inquiry can begin with a question, a team, and a commitment to explore.
Start with curiosity. Build through inquiry.
Research, Under Pressure.
A time-bound research challenge where participants develop structured research proposals within 72 hours, focusing on problem framing, evidence gathering, and academic reasoning.
The Project Q2 Research Challenge was designed to identify students capable of approaching complex problems with intellectual rigor and structured thinking.
Participants are evaluated not only on their final submission, but on the strength of their research question, methodology, analysis, and overall reasoning.
Think clearly. Question deeply. Build with evidence.
The Evaluation Process.
Initial Review
All submissions undergo evaluation using a structured research rubric. Only the strongest submissions advance.
Finalist Selection
Selected projects enter a secondary review process. A limited number advance to the Grand Finalist stage.
Live Grand Finale
Grand Finalists present their work before judges during a live evaluation session. Participants defend their ideas, respond to questions, and demonstrate the reasoning behind their proposed approach. Final awards are determined during the live presentation round.
Themes
Choose a domain that sparks your curiosity and explore it through structured research.
Strong ideas are tested through strong reasoning.
